Sunset Anthias, also known as Diadem Anthias, is a small marine fish belonging to the Anthiinae subfamily within the Serranidae family, which includes groupers and sea basses.
This fish lives in the Indo-West Pacific Ocean and sometimes appears in aquariums.
This species isn’t often seen due to its small size and preference for deep water habitats, typically found at depths of over 40 meters and most commonly between 50 to 60 meters.
Sunset anthias usually swims in small groups near the ocean floor but may also gather above patch reefs on sandy or rocky slopes.

Sunset anthias is a small fish with a maximum length of 2.95 inches (7.5 centimeters).
Males have yellow on the top third of their sides and pink lower bodies, as well as magenta bands between their eyes and from the upper eye to where the dorsal fin starts.
Female sunset anthias are mostly yellow or yellow-orange.
Males also have a fleshy bump at the front of their upper lip, a long third dorsal spine that isn’t stretched out, and tail fins shaped like crescents with short tips.
