It can grow up to 1 inch long and prefers water with a pH of 6.0 to 8.0, hardness of 2 to 25 dGH, and temperature of around 79°F (26°C).
This species mainly feeds on worms, insects, and plants while laying eggs in dense vegetation without adult protection.

Barredtail Corydoras Habitat
Barredtail corydoras are found in the upper Araguaia River basin in Brazil.
These demersal fish prefer water with a pH range of 6.0 to 8.0 and a dGH range of 2 to 25.
They typically inhabit the bottom region of the water column. The ideal temperature for this tropical fish is 79°F (26°C).
To ensure their optimal health and growth, maintaining their tank water parameters between these ideal ranges is recommended.
